California is facing a literacy crisis. Nationally, California ranks 33rd in fourth-grade reading proficiency based on the latest National Assessment of Education Progress (NAEP) scores.
The data is clear and irrefutable, we must urgently solve this problem so that are children are able to read and unlock future opportunities.
